HEIRLOOMS ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF ANY FAMILY’S HISTORY AS WELL AS AN INVALUABLE SOURCE OF INFORMATION.
Caring for them can be a challenge for any family historian. Learn simple, effective techniques for preserving and handling family heirlooms, documents, and photographs while still keeping them accessible for research and display. There will be lots of examples to see and plenty of time for questions and answers. Feel free to bring some items from home to get specific information.
Our presenter, Tamara Hemmerlein, is the director of Local History Services at the Indiana Historical Society. Tamara has spent the last twenty-six years working in and with local history organizations as a museum and historical society executive director and, most recently, as a field service officer.
Seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
