Addolorata Villa Testimonials

See What Our Residents Have to Say!

Jacki G Testimonial“When my kids said it was time to sell my house and be with people my age, I thought it was a good idea. I have wonderful memories of the 47 years I lived in my home, but when the kids got married, it felt empty. My son is the friend of a resident’s son, so we got together, talked about my moving to the Villa – and here I am.  Addolorata Villa has everything I need: my own apartment, a chapel and even a deli. Also, everyone here  is great. They make me feel welcome.”

John N Testimonial“When I think about what I enjoy most about Addolorata Villa, it is the staff that stands out in my mind. They are kind and helpful. They communicate well about what is happening in the community – like the update meetings, pastoral care and life enrichment programs. I especially love the Café for meals!”

“I’ve lived at the Villa for 10 years, and I’m very happy. I’ve enjoyed volunteering in the chapel, but what I’ve loved most is the people I’ve met and the staff who work so hard.”

“Can’t say enough good things about Addolorata Villa Independent Living. My 97-year-old mother moved there at the end of last year and has flourished. She was reluctant at first about moving from her own home, but once she moved, she never regretted the decision. Addolorata Villa lets residents retain their independence while offering safety and security, as well as a wide variety of social activities, if they choose to participate. In addition, as a Catholic, the opportunity to attend mass was something that made my mother very happy. And the food is amazing. Family members who visited my mother and shared meals with her in the dining room couldn’t stop raving about the food. I highly recommend Addolorata Villa.”

“I am proud to have my great aunt at Addolorata Villa. While I live further away and am unable to visit often, I am so relieved by the sense of peace my family has experienced knowing she is well taken care of, especially during COVID-19. The communication with my family has been impeccable, and I know how much she enjoys the visits to her apartment for well-being checks and some socialization. The chapel is stunning, and she is so happy to experience mass with her peers. The campus has an impressive history, and the communication has been very proactive. I’d recommend this community to anyone.”

“My mother moved to an Assisted Living apartment at Addolorata Villa two and a half years ago at the age of 88. My family and I have been continuously impressed with all aspects of Mom’s care. Every staff member we have come in contact with, including the concierge, management, housekeeping, life enrichment, resident care assistants and the maintenance crew has been a delight. They go out of their way to make sure residents are lovingly and properly cared for. Prior to the pandemic, there was a multitude of activities for Mom to enjoy, including restaurant and entertainment outings, games, gardening, happy hours, etc. After the pandemic, Villa staff got very creative in finding ways to keep residents engaged and happy. They also frequently reached out to resident family members to keep us informed of the activities planned, safety procedures, coronavirus activity, and to offer help in getting residents connected to their families via video chats. I can’t imagine a better place for my Mom.”

“My Mom is in her 97th year and has been at The Villa for over two years. She started out in Independent Living in a lovely one bedroom apartment. A few months ago, she moved into the Memory Lane Unit of Assisted Living as her cognitive skills continue to decline. She tells us that she loves everyone who is taking care of her, and she wants for nothing, which makes our life much less anxious as a result. Having a church on the premises was very important to Mom when we looked for a place for her, and it has been a real joy to see, and feel, the spiritual care provided by the pastoral staff at Addolorata. In addition, all other services like dining, exercise, entertainment, administrative services and social activities are wonderful. We are comforted that she continues to receive loving care from the entire staff. We definitely feel that Addolorata Villa is a perfect place for Mom.”
