You might be surprised to learn that Elon Musk and Tesla did NOT invent the electric car! More than 100 years ago, electric cars were the most popular automobiles in the world. In the late 19th century and early 20th century, they outsold other types of cars. Join us as we explore the rise and fall of the electric car as well as the challenges facing the resurgence of electric cars today.

Presented by: Barbara J. Barrett, is a History
Edutainment (Educational Entertainment) Speaker. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Illinois, and a Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree from Roosevelt University. Ms. Barrett is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and enjoys sharing history in an entertaining way.
