Regina UmanskiyRegina Umanskiy
President & CEO
Regina Umanskiy became the Franciscan Ministries President and Chief Executive Officer in July 2022. Prior to leading the Ministry, she served as Vice President of Operations and Integrated Solutions for Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Chicago. A forward-thinking, strategic operations executive, Regina brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the senior living industry. She is skilled in developing client relations, cultivating business growth opportunities, and implementing programs to drive resident and associate engagement. Regina received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ursuline College. She is also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Karen Larson – Chief Operating OfficerKaren Larson

Karen Larson joined Franciscan Ministries as Chief Operating Officer in August 2022. Karen is a seasoned senior management professional with over 20 years of progressive leadership in Life Plan Communities with multi-facility not-for-profit organizations. She most recently served as Vice President of Operations for Christian Horizons. Karen has a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Illinois School of Public Health. She is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana. Additionally, Karen serves on the LeadingAge Illinois Finance Committee and Board of Directors.

Bob Rosenberger
Chief Financial Officer
Bob Rosenberger joined Franciscan Ministries as Chief Financial Officer in April 2023. He comes to us with more than 25 years of leadership and finance experience. Bob has held senior level financial positions at a variety of hospital and health systems, including Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, PA; Amita Health in Chicago, IL; Adena Health in Chillicothe, OH; and Centegra Health System in Crystal Lake, IL. In prior roles Bob has improved retention levels of 40% within the Finance Department as well as directed a $200M bond re-financing generating $40M of cash over the first 4 years while decreasing maximum annual debt service by 10%. He has a MBA and BS in Finance from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

Dawn Mayer Vice President of Mission Integration and Pastoral CareDawn Mayer
Chief Mission Integration & Pastoral Care Officer

Dawn Mayer joined Franciscan Ministries as Vice President of Mission Integration and Pastoral Care in June 2015. Dawn has over 35 years of ministerial experience in parishes, Archdiocesan administration, and senior services, always striving to create new initiatives to further the mission of the community. Before her arrival at FM, she served as the Director of Mission Integration and Pastoral Care for five years at The Village at Victory Lakes, one Franciscan Ministries’ senior living communities. Dawn has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola University and a Master’s Degree in Religious Education also from Loyola University. She is a Certified Pastoral Associate for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Lindsey Lavery Chief Sales and Marketing OfficerLindsey Lavery
Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Lindsey Lavery joined Franciscan Ministries in November of 2023 and brings with her 20 years of senior living experience. She has a strong passion for sales and marketing and the impact that a positive sales culture within a company has on its success. Prior to joining Franciscan Ministries, she served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Encore Senior Living and previously as Vice President of Sales Training and Talent Development at Senior Lifestyle Corporation. She is an integral contributor to a seniors housing leadership team and embraces the notion that in order to have a positive company culture, its leaders need to lead by example. Lindsey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Gerontology and Sociology from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
