Giving Joyfully
Rooted in our mission to Celebrate Life and Serve with Joy, Franciscan Ministries extends compassionate care and enriching senior living and healthcare services to older adults, provides meaningful support for our associates in times of need, offers refuge and hope to survivors of domestic abuse through St. Jude House and empowers young women to achieve academic success through scholarships provided by the Madonna Foundation.
Our work is made possible through the generosity of donors who share our vision of a more compassionate world—one where every individual is valued, supported and empowered to thrive. We invite you to support our mission by Giving Joyfully, knowing that your generosity transforms lives, strengthens communities and carries the Franciscan spirit of service into the future.
Across our eight nonprofit Franciscan communities in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, residents, families, associates and partners come together to create environments filled with dignity, purpose and joy.

Founded in 2001, the Madonna Foundation provides scholarships and holistic support programs to young women of all faiths attending six Catholic partner high schools. To date, more than 1,600 Madonna scholars have graduated with a 100% college acceptance rate, many of whom are the first in their families to pursue higher education.
Your generosity helps break cycles of inequity by fostering confidence, leadership and academic achievement in young women who aspire to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

"The friendliness of all the residents and staff. . . the "Good Mornings" and "Good Afternoons" said with a smile. That truly makes my day."

"Mt. Alverna has such a friendly and caring personality and atmosphere. The skilled care helped me achieve independence and regain strength. Even the social activities reinforce physical therapy. I am blessed to have been able to rehab at this facility this past Spring."
