We are honored to continue a tradition first established by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, whose legacy of compassion, service and faith continues to guide us today.

More than a day of golf, the Franciscan Open is a meaningful expression of mission in action. Join us for a day of golf, hospitality and impact at the renowned Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. Set against a backdrop of rolling terrain, mature woodlands and scenic ravines, this distinguished outing brings together community leaders, partners and friends in support of a meaningful works of Franciscan Ministries.

The Franciscan Open is a reflection of that commitment – bringing people together in fellowship while supporting meaningful work that makes a difference in the lives of so many.

Proceeds from the Franciscan Open directly support the meaningful work of Franciscan Ministries, including St. Jude House and Madonna Foundation. These ministries are dedicated to uplifting individuals and families through compassion, care and support.

Cog Hill Golf Course – Course No. 1 and Course No. 2 – Ravines

Thursday, June 25, 2025 (Agenda and Activities Reflect Both Courses)

  • 7:30 A.M. – 8:50 A.M. – Player Check-In and Registration 
  • 7:30 A.M. (Breakfast Burritos, Mimosas, and Bloody Marys)
  • 9:00 A.M. – Opening Prayer
  • 9:00 A.M. – Shotgun Start 
    • An overview of the scramble format will be provided, followed by players heading to their assigned holes. 
  • Lunch Provided On Course
  • 2:30 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. (Approx.) – Golf Concludes & 19th Hole Reception
    • All players are invited to the Club House for buffet supper
  • Awards Ceremony & Raffle Drawing 

On-Course Activities: 

  • Complimentary Refreshments: Unlimited water and Gatorade Available On-Course
  • Dedicated Joy Carts will offer alcoholic beverages and snacks. 
  • 2 drink tickets provided
  • Lunch Provided at 3 On-Course Food Stands
  • Event Photography & Videography:
    • Photographers will capture still photos
    • Photographers will also attempt to record short video clips of sponsor representatives and guests providing brief introductions or messages about their companies. These will then be compiled into several short videos. Participation is optional.

    • Beat the Nun
    • Longest Putt
    • Longest Drive
    • Closest to the Pin
    • Hole in One
    • Champion Foursome (2 Franciscan Open Cup Champions – 1 per course)

Course No. 1
A classic layout rich in tradition and approachable design
$275 per golfer | $1,000 per foursome

Course No. 2 – Ravines
A dynamic and scenic course offering both challenge and playability
$350 per golfer | $1,300 per foursome
